Planning for the years after the parents

Xochitl came to law from work as a job coach for adults with disabilities. She saw families lose benefits over a small inheritance left the wrong way, and decided to fix the paperwork instead.

She meets families on Kinnickinnic Avenue, often on Saturday mornings, and asks to meet the son or daughter the trust is for. Her letters of intent describe a person’s routines, not just their diagnosis.
