How it works
What happens after you call us
The same five steps at every office, whichever kind of work your family needs.
- 01
Step 1: You call one number
A paralegal asks where your parent lives, what’s happening and how soon. Five minutes.
- 02
Step 2: We book the right office
Downtown, Wauwatosa or Bay View, or your parent’s home or hospital room if travel is hard.
- 03
Step 3: A first meeting, with a fee at the end
An hour with a lawyer. You leave with what we’d do and the flat fee in writing.
- 04
Step 4: Drafts, then a call
We send the documents and go through them by phone before anyone signs.
- 05
Step 5: The signing, and copies sent out
Witnesses and a notary come with us. We send copies to the bank, the doctor and the people named.
What your family takes home
One red folder, the same at every office.
Inside are the signed originals, a one-page summary of who does what, and a list of who got copies. We keep scanned copies at all three offices, so a call to any of them can find your parent’s papers.

About fees and timing
Is the first meeting free?
No. It has a set fee, quoted when you book, and it comes off the fee if you go ahead. You leave with a written quote either way.
Do you charge by the hour?
Not for documents and planning: those are flat fees quoted before we start. Contested guardianships and Medicaid appeals are quoted separately.
Do you charge to travel?
A home or hospital visit anywhere in Milwaukee, Waukesha or Ozaukee County adds a flat travel fee, quoted with the rest.
How fast can you move?
A hospital signing can happen in a day or two. Most plans are signed within three to four weeks.
Start with a five-minute call
We’ll ask a few questions and book the office nearest your parent.
